Our chef is exceptional for an inn of this size (he just loves working here), he ensures that, whatever your taste, there is a good choice of excellent food.

We make full use of high quality local fare, including eggs, fish, game, beef and venison as well as local fresh vegetables and cheeses.

The Royal Oak Inn offers a range of dining areas to suit different needs and moods:
Bars & Garden - For those who prefer to remain within the full pub atmosphere; snacks and meals can be taken in the bar, or, weather permitting, in the quiet garden at the rear.

The Old Dining Room links directly from the bar, so retains the rustic atmosphere, yet has a degree of privacy, allowing meals to be taken awayfrom, yet not cut off from, the bar atmosphere.

The Green Room, small, cosy and intimate (only three tables).

The Red Room, classic, ideal for that special occasion.
